Shot Glasses

What would you call a shot glass with a tiny handle?
I recently picked up some small glasses at an antique store. They look like shot glasses, but have handles. I'm guessing they're probably for coffee or tea.. would anyone know the correct term for these items and their actual purpose?
actually they are cordial glasses. For sipping flavored liqueurs, or brandy, If they are tall and narrow, they channel the volatile aromas to your nose. Try a cognac or a cointreau in it! The pic below shows the cordial glasses i'm thinking of
