Steam espresso vs. bar pump espresso?
What is the difference in flavor, crema, body, coffee, etc. between a steam espresso and a bar pump espresso?
You might check before buying but generally, a pump espresso can give the required pressure at 15 bars while steam espresso usually are not able to do so.
"At this pressure, the grounds are totally infused with the water (and that is the reason that the coffee ground has to be packed tightly) to produce the dark, rich, aromatic espresso. "
Espresso below the 15 bar pressure taste abit burnt and bitter.
So, a bar pump espresso is the one to go for great espresso
